Semi-Private Strength Coach (Part-Time)
About Devilfish Athletics
Devilfish Athletics is a semi-private strength gym in Brooklyn focused on helping adults become stronger, move better, and feel more confident in their bodies.
Our members are primarily adults in their 40s and 50s. Many are new to strength training, returning after time away, managing chronic aches and pains, or looking for a sustainable approach to fitness that fits into a busy life.
Position Overview
We are seeking a part-time Semi-Private Strength Coach to lead semi-private training sessions, support member progress, and contribute to a welcoming, professional training environment.
Our coaching team is not responsible for sales, scheduling, or writing individualized training programs. Those systems are already in place, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional coaching and building meaningful relationships with our members.
Because every member follows an individualized training program, preparation is essential. Coaches are expected to review each member's program before every session, understand the goals, progressions, and modifications for each individual, and arrive ready to deliver thoughtful, professional coaching. Session preparation is required!
As coaches gain experience and become familiar with our members and coaching philosophy, they'll have opportunities to contribute feedback on member programming. We believe the coaches who work with members every day provide valuable insight into what's working, what isn't, and when adjustments may be needed.
